Alberta Pageants is designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate every contestant who steps onto our stage. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about competing, divisions, expectations, and how you can become part of our next class of provincial queens.

Pageant Weekend with Alberta Pageants is an exciting experience designed to inspire confidence, growth, and connection. Delegates take part in professional pageant training, rehearsals, workshops, photo shoots, and engaging social media challenges. All leading up to a high-energy stage production in a theatre setting where provincial and regional titles are awarded across multiple age divisions.
More than just a competition, this weekend celebrates each participant’s individuality while helping them step into their confidence, build life skills, and grow into the queens they are meant to be.

JUDGING CATEGORIES

Introduction - 10%
Contestants will prepare a short introduction video about themselves. This video will be shared with our judges and on social media.

Interview - 25%
Contestants will participate in an in person interview with our panel of judges & will be asked an assortment of questions designed to better get to know our contestants.
Interviews will be conducted the day prior to pageant day.

Organization Score - 10%
Score will be based on overall behaviour; punctuality, respectfulness, kindness, on time submissions, attentiveness, treatment of staff, volunteers and fellow competitors.
This directly relates to suitability of being a queen & a role model for others.

Social Media - 10%
The Social Media category evaluates each delegate’s creativity, confidence, and ability to communicate effectively online. Leading up to the pageant, participants will complete a series of fun and engaging social media challenges designed to showcase their personality, authenticity, and positive influence. Judging is based on content quality, effort, consistency, and how well each delegate represents themselves and the values of the program.

Activewear - 15%
Each contestant will wear a fitness wear outfit on stage.
They will be judged on their confidence, personality, overall appearance and stage ability/presence. They are NOT judged on their physical appearance.

Swimwear - 15%
Each contestant will wear a wear a swimsuit on stage
They will be judged on their confidence, personality, overall appearance and stage ability/presence. They are NOT judged on their physical appearance.

Fashion - 15%
Contestants will wear a fashion outfit of their choice.
They will be judged on their confidence and their stage ability & presence. They are NOT judged on their physical appearance.
FINALISTS ONLY
FINALISTS ONLY

Evening Gown - 15%
Each contestant will wear a wear a long gown on stage showcasing the elegance and grace of evening wear.

Live Q & A - 10%
Contestants will be asked to answer a random question on stage & be given 30 seconds to answer.

Final Impression - 5%
Judges will have one final opportunity to see the contestants together to make a final overall impression score.

Alberta Pageants is a self-supporting pageant and relies on entrance fees and sponsorship to cover production expenses. Production expenses include but are not limited to; facility & theater rentals, equipment rentals, audio/visual technicians, performers, advertising, fees, website development & maintenance, judges expenses, staging, supplies, catering fees, crowns & sashes, prizes and awards.
All fees paid to Canadian Beauties Inc are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part under any circumstances (including covid-19 related reasons or date changes). This includes, but is not limited to entrance fees, advertising fees, pageant admission tickets, and any other fees paid to Canadian Beauties Inc by anyone including, but not limited to, contestants, spectators, sponsors and advertisers.
TITLES
HOW OUR TITLES WORK
All contestants are eligible for an Alberta title. The contestant with the highest score in their age division wins the Alberta title.
After that we award the regional titles.
Our contestants are divided into 3 groups based on region:
Northern Alberta
Central Alberta
Southern Alberta
The contestant with the highest score in each region for their age division wins the regional title.

REGIONAL TITLES
We will award a title for each age division in each region.
Northern Alberta
Central Alberta
Southern Alberta
Qualification for these titles is based on your place of residence.
Anybody from Leduc/Edmonton area & north is eligible for the Northern titles and anybody from below Okotoks and south is eligible for the Southern titles. Central Alberta is from Wetaskiwin to Okotoks.
You are only eligible for regional titles in your region, unless there are no contestants competing in a region. In this case that title becomes eligible to the next highest scoring contestant.
OTHER TITLES
Rural Alberta
* These titles are reserved for contestants who reside in small towns from Alberta and are awarded on a case by case basis.
Other titles may be made available depending on participation levels.
Sometimes we will award other regional or city titles to contestants after the pageant has concluded.
REPEAT CONTESTANTS
We encourage contestants to compete every year for the fun and growth!
Note: A contestant cannot hold the same title twice

Our winners are given an opportunity to be a role model, to give back to causes close to their heart and to be a part of a sisterhood. During their reign they will get to attend community & charity events, meet local dignitaries/celebrities, participate in parades. fashion shows and much more.
They will also serve as mentor to their little pageant sisters from our Junior Miss Alberta Pageant
